Welcome to Instagram Sync.
This guide walks you through connecting an Instagram account and accessing its data through our REST API — from zero to first request.
By the end of this page, you’ll have:
An authenticated account
A connected Instagram profile
Your first successful API response
What You’ll Need
Before you begin, make sure you have:
An Instagram Business or Creator account
Personal accounts are not supported
A modern web browser
Basic familiarity with REST APIs and JSON
That’s it. No app review. No Facebook app setup. No webhook ceremony.
Step 1: Create an Account
Visit the homepage
Click Get Started
Sign in using one of the following:
Google
GitHub
Email & password
Once authenticated, you’ll be redirected to your dashboard.
Step 2: Connect Instagram
From your dashboard:
Click Connect Instagram
You’ll be redirected to Instagram’s OAuth authorization screen
Log in with your Business or Creator account
Approve the requested permissions
You’ll be redirected back to your dashboard
Your account connection is now complete.
Important
If your account is personal, you must convert it to a Business or Creator account in Instagram settings before continuing.
Step 3: Automatic Sync
Once connected, we immediately begin syncing your data.
This includes:
Profile metadata (name, bio, avatar, counts)
Recent posts and media
Account identifiers and timestamps
Data is automatically refreshed every 6 hours.
No manual work required.
You can view sync status and timestamps directly in the dashboard.
Step 4: Your First API Call
All API requests are made against the base URL:

Returns your user record and linked Instagram account.
