Quick Deletion Options
Option 1: Delete via Dashboard (Recommended)
If you have an active account, you can delete your data directly from your dashboard:
- Log in to your account
- Go to your Dashboard
- Navigate to Account Settings
- Click "Disconnect Instagram Account" to remove Instagram data
- Click "Delete Account" to permanently delete your account and all associated data
Option 2: Request Deletion via Contact Form
If you cannot access your account or prefer to request deletion via email:
What Data Will Be Deleted?
When you request data deletion, we will permanently delete the following information:
- Account Information: Your user account, email address, name, and authentication credentials
- Instagram Account Data: Instagram User ID, username, account type, and access tokens
- Instagram Profile Data: Name, bio, profile picture URL, follower counts, following counts, media counts
- Instagram Posts: All synced post data including post IDs, media URLs, captions, timestamps, and permalinks
- API Keys: All generated API keys and associated metadata
- API Usage Records: Historical API usage and rate limiting data
- User Credits: Subscription and credit information
- Analytics Events: User-specific analytics and tracking data
- Session Data: All active and expired session tokens
Note: We do NOT store actual media files (images or videos). We only store URLs pointing to media hosted by Instagram. Deleting your account will remove these URLs from our database, but the actual media remains on Instagram's servers.
Deletion Process Timeline
Immediate Actions (Within 24 hours):
- Your account will be deactivated
- All API access will be revoked
- Instagram account connection will be disconnected
Permanent Deletion (Within 30 days):
- All personal data will be permanently deleted from our databases
- Backup copies will be removed during our next backup rotation cycle
- You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete
Data Retention Exceptions
In certain circumstances, we may be required to retain some information for legal or regulatory purposes:
- Legal Obligations: Information required to comply with legal obligations, court orders, or government regulations
- Dispute Resolution: Information necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our Terms of Service
- Security and Fraud Prevention: Limited information may be retained to prevent fraud or security incidents
- Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized analytics data that cannot identify you may be retained for service improvement
Any retained information will be kept only for as long as necessary and will not be used for any other purpose.
Instagram Account Disconnection
When you disconnect your Instagram account or delete your account:
- We will immediately revoke our access to your Instagram account
- All Instagram access tokens will be invalidated
- We will stop syncing your Instagram data
- Your Instagram data stored in our database will be deleted
- Your Instagram account itself will NOT be deleted (only our access to it)
To completely remove our app's access to your Instagram account, you should also revoke access in your Instagram account settings:
- Go to your Instagram account settings
- Navigate to "Apps and Websites" or "Authorized Apps"
- Find "Instagram Graph Sync" in the list
- Click "Remove" or "Revoke Access"
Verification Process
To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion requests, we may require verification:
- If you request deletion via contact form, we will verify your identity by confirming your email address
- We may ask you to provide additional information to confirm account ownership
- For security reasons, we cannot process deletion requests made by third parties without proper authorization
After Deletion
Once your data is deleted:
- You will not be able to recover your account or data
- You will need to create a new account if you wish to use our Service again
- Any public profile pages associated with your account will no longer be accessible
- API endpoints that previously returned your data will return 404 errors
Meta/Facebook Data Deletion Requirements
As required by Meta's Platform Terms, we provide clear instructions for users to request data deletion. This page serves as our official data deletion policy. When you request deletion:
- We will process your request within 30 days
- We will delete all Instagram data obtained through the Instagram Graph API
- We will confirm deletion in writing (via email)
- We will maintain records of deletion requests for compliance purposes (without personal data)
